The ultimate reality!

In order to understand why I made the decision to walk away from the faith you need to see why.  So let me explain…

We are told a few fundamentals about God, primarily it is widely accepted that God is omnipotent and omniscient, which is a fancy way of saying that he is all knowing and all seeing, we are told that he is the ultimate in perfection  and we are told in a dictionary that the definition of the term “God” is “the supreme or ultimate reality.” So with this statement in mind and bearing in mind the previous paragraphs a few questions naturally arise…

We hold God in such a high esteem, and this is only right if you are a religious person, and again there is a “but”… This is a personal thing and I’m not advocating that my opinion is correct, but if God is “ultimate” then surely he would never have come under such scrutiny from the devil in the first place, there also would be no need for such excessive human waste in the need to prove his sovereignty. If the beliefs of the witnesses are true then how many innocent human lives have been lost just to prove a point?  I have taken a direct quote from the witness website ( which sheds some light on what they believe on the matter…   “Through one man [Adam] sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.” (Romans 5:12) Yes, because of the rebellion of Adam and Eve, sin and death spread like a malignant disease through the whole human race. Some may ask, ‘Why has God not prevented tragedies?’ Really, that would be an injustice, and it would cloud the issue by making it seem that rebelling against God is without consequence. Hence, Jehovah has not been behind the scenes preventing all the crimes and tragedies that result, directly or indirectly, from disobedience to him. Jehovah would never be party to the harmful lie that Satan’s system can succeed, that it has found the key to happiness!”

As far as rebelling against God having no consequences is concerned, if he is all seeing he would have seen this coming and could have prevented thousands of years of suffering for all mankind, And  I don’t think for a second I would have doubted his right to do so, my reasoning is, that if I am imperfect and I can figure that out, how much more so would a “perfect” Angel  have agreed with his actions, and not doubted him for a second?  The opposing argument would suggest that if God needed to prove his universal sovereignty then there was room for doubt to begin with thus suggesting an element of fallibility in a perfect being!  For me this was the beginning of it all, if I could pose questions like this with the “building blocks” of the religion then surely everything built on top of these beliefs are flawed too!
